Largest Coast Salish Welcome Figure
Produced for Savage Society
Service: Story Producing, Shooting, Editing
This short documentary follows Kwantlen artist Brandon Gabriel as he brings to life a striking light installation: projecting the largest Coast Salish Welcome Figure onto the world’s largest tin soldier in New Westminster. The goal was to tell a nuanced and respectful story about the peoples who have lived on these lands since time immemorial. I worked closely with the artist and with Savage Society to ensure the narrative reflected their vision.
